Van Papier Co. was founded by artist and designer Kayla Williams. Here, you’ll find original watercolor illustrations and thoughtfully curated designs that blend timeless style with a touch of Southern whimsy.
Kayla’s path to design has been anything but traditional. Raised in the Midwest, she moved South to study business at Belmont University, spent a semester as an art major, and later gained creative experience as a social media director for a Nashville salon. While teaching preschool in a historic Nashville neighborhood, she discovered the refined paper needs of Southern women and fell in love with stationery.
Late nights of illustrating and designing — paired with encouragement from loved ones — eventually grew into a full-time endeavor. Today, Kayla works from Franklin, Tennessee, where she and her husband raise their four daughters, the joyful inspiration behind much of her work.
BEHIND THE NAME: Van Papier Co. — Papier pronounced PAY-PEE-UR — is a nod to Kayla’s Dutch heritage. Van meaning “of” and Papier meaning “paper."
